Board meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00pm. Meetings are held at the Village Hall, at 305 Oak St, and the public is encouraged to attend.

MAY 17, 2018

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Village Board of Glasford was convened at 7:00pm. In attendance were Mayor Rudd, Clerk Stetler, Trustees Allen, Kingsley, Pilgrim, Michel and Whaley. Also in attendance was Chief Beachler, Streets Supt. Reimer, Officer Burgess, Loren Bailliez, John Rudd and Nanette Rudd. Trustee Sheckler and Supt. Brown were absent.

Motion for acceptance of April 19, 2018 MINUTES made by Pilgrim, 2nd by Michel. Roll call … Allen—AYE; Pilgrim—AYE; Whaley—AYE; Michel—AYE; Kingsley—AYE. All ayes, motion carried.

Loren Bailliez asked of the Board the status for unsafe buildings on Main Street and dumpster located in alley behind Glasford Senior Center. Discussion followed.

Nanette Rudd informed Board of the June 30, 2018 St. Jude Run and Car Cruise In would be July 29, 2018 and that the area at Oak and Main Streets would be blocked off like it was last year. Discussion followed. Board approved shut down of Oak and Main Streets.

STREETS/MAINTENANCE report presented and accepted.

Reimer presented estimate for railroad crossing repair work where Village pays for the asphalt for the crossing sidewalk but the railroad company does the work. Asphalt will cost $2000 approximately. Discussion followed.

Trustee Pilgrim exited meeting at 7:31pm and did not return.

Motion to pass Annual Appropriation Ord. 2018-02 for 5/1/18 to 4/30/19 made by Kingsley, 2nd by Michel. Roll call … Allen—AYE; Whaley—AYE; Michel—AYE; Kingsley—AYE. All ayes, motion carried.

Motion for retention of attorneys, engineers and accountants for 5.1.18 to 4.30.19 fiscal year made by Allen, 2nd by Kingsley. Roll call … Allen—AYE; Whaley—AYE; Michel—AYE; Kingsley—AYE. All ayes, motion carried.

Motion to increase garbage rate from $13.00 to $14.00 beginning July 1, 2018, made by Kingsley, 2nd by Michel. Roll call … Allen—AYE; Whaley—AYE; Michel—AYE; Kingsley—AYE. All ayes, motion carried.

Motion to purchase from Interface Security 4-5 new surveillance cameras for the cost of approximately $2500 made by Kingsley, 2nd by Michel. Roll call … Allen—AYE; Whaley—AYE; Michel—AYE; Kingsley—AYE. All ayes, motion carried.
